Last Appearance of Lord Stanley... Until 2011

The last time the Bruins won the Stanley Cup was in 1972, led by Bobby Orr and Gerry Cheevers, winning the series in six games over the New York Rangers. The Boston faithful have been waiting 39 years for the return of the cup, and have celebrated with new heroes Tim Thomas and Zdeno Chara. Congratulations to the Boston Bruins on their Stanley Cup win!
