As The Sports Museum continues to grow programmatically and financially, it is important to add input and manpower from the next generation of Boston’s leaders. This will ultimately help move the organization and its programs forward, and help continue to build an even stronger network of philanthropic supporters.
The Young Leaders Council (YLC) is comprised of young Boston and Greater Boston-based professionals, from a variety of industries, who have a vested interest in seeing The Sports Museum reach the next level of success. This council is driven by a passion to develop, enhance, and support the overall mission of The Sports Museum. The primary focus of the YLC is to oversee the management of The Sports Museum team in the Rodman Ride for Kids, taking place every fall.

At The Sports Museum, we celebrate the character of Boston sports — the unique brand of teamwork, determination, responsibility, courage, fairness, and other qualities of character possessed by our teams and athletes that make Boston “The Greatest Sports City in America.” Equally important, we use this distinctly rich heritage to help build character in kids so that they can stand strong in the face of drugs, violence, and other dangers.
