The Sports Museum is proud to be a part of the 2026 Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program.
The Boston Marathon is the oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the world’s most prestigious road racing events. The Boston Athletic Association manages this historic event, which is presented by Bank of America.
Since 2016, The Sports Museum Team has raised funds in support of the museum’s mission to improve lives through the power of Boston sports.

The Sports Museum preserves and shares the rich history of Boston and New England sports through engaging exhibits and unique events. Welcoming more than 300,000 museum visitors each year, we proudly share the inspiring stories of our teams, athletes, sports professionals, and fans who make Boston the “The Greatest Sports City in America.”
Partnering with the Boston sports community, we empower students from Greater Boston and beyond through social emotional, bullying prevention, and youth development programs. Boston vs. Bullies, Stand Strong, and ALL-IN are The Sports Museum’s signature educational programs designed to build character and promote belonging through the powerful platform of Boston sports. To date, more than 350,000 kids have experienced these programs, which we deliver free of charge.
